The PMI Keystone Chapter wants to connect with PMI members, Project Managers and the project management professional community to drive the field of project management forward in the Reading area.
We hope you will join us at our regular monthly meetings to learn how you can expand your network and collaborate with us to create and share consumable content, tools and resources.
The feature presentation will be as follows:
TOPIC: Project Management 2.0 - An Introduction and Getting Started -- In this talk, John Bowen will share with us the key characteristics of Project Management 2.0 and explain why PM 2.0 has emerged in response to the deficiencies of traditional project management. The presentation will emphasize the project manager’s emerging role in strategic planning and project leadership and discuss how to achieve more meaningful information with KPIs, metrics, and dashboards. John will also share with us the current state of PM 2.0 adoption, provide recommendations on how to get started and explain how PM 2.0 can reduce project costs and ensure delivered business value
SPEAKER: John Bowen is Management Consultant and Senior Director of Global Partnerships for Computer Aid, Inc., responsible for expanding CAI's international business presence. John has more than 35 years of IT management experience including executive leadership, technology management, IT integration, IT due diligence, strategic planning and large-scale system implementation.
John is also president of Management Envision LLC, a research and consulting company focused on innovative presentation of complex issues in process, portfolio, project and program management. He provides management consulting services to IT organizations in global expansion and manages projects in the US, Latin America and Europe.
He has managed multi-national projects involving teams in more than 25 countries. He authored an acclaimed project management methodology and established project management offices (PMOs) in multiple companies in the US and Latin America.
John is a magna cum laude graduate of DePauw University with degrees in mathematics, computer science and symbolic logic. He has taught international business, information engineering and project management for MBA programs at eight universities and is currently visiting instructor of international business and project management at Lehigh University’s Iacocca Institute and adjunct professor of project management in the Lehigh University College of Business and Economics Executive Education Program. John has taught international business and project leadership to more than 1000 professionals from nearly 100 countries at the Iacocca Institute´s Global Village program.

TIME: Networking and dinner begins at 6:00 PM followed by the Featured Speaker starting promptly at 6:30 PM.

PROTOCOL: Dress code is business or business casual.
COST:There is no charge for this meeting to Chapter members. A nominal fee of $5 will be charged to non-Chapter registrants and attendees.
