The PMI Keystone Chapter wants to connect with PMI members, Project Managers and the project management professional community to drive the field of project management forward in the Reading area.
We hope you will join us at our regular monthly meetings to learn how you can expand your network and collaborate with us to create and share consumable content, tools and resources.
The feature presentation will be as follows:
TOPIC: Project Leadership: You Cannot Manage a Project to Success
You cannot manage a project to success; you must lead a project to success. Over the past 40 years, as project management tools and methodologies have evolved into a proscriptive “discipline,” we have become overly focused on project administration, training and certifying project managers in their ability to report on the easily-quantifiable metrics of schedule and cost. Projects are not about things; projects are about people. This presentation describes the critical responsibilities of the project manager in leading the team through vision, motivation, communication, action, focus and tenacity, i.e., leadership. The key question is: how do you acquire/develop project leaders?

TIME: Networking and dinner begins at 6:00 PM followed by the Featured Speaker starting promptly at 6:30 PM.
LOCATION: Worley Parsons, 2675 Morgantown Rd. #1, Reading, PA 19607 (Enter main entrance on 100 Davis Drive).
PROTOCOL: Dress code is business or business casual.
COST: There is no charge for this meeting to Chapter members. A nominal fee of $5 will be charged to non-Chapter registrants and attendees. Chapter members must log-in to the Chapter website in order to receive the discount.
