Carlisle Branch May 2019 Meeting

The PMI Keystone Chapter wants to connect with PMI members, Project Managers and the project management professional community to drive the field of project management forward in the Carlisle area. 

We hope you will join us at our regular monthly meetings to learn how you can expand your network and collaborate with us to create and share consumable content, tools and resources.

I have over 15 years of hands-on experience in project management. I have worked in several industry segments including Information Technology, Service Delivery, Manufacturing, Banking, Healthcare, Package Delivery, Insurance, and Local/State/Federal Governments.
 

Some of the companies for whom I have worked include Halifax Corporation (now Essintial Enterprise Solutions), Wellspan Health, Technisource, Grant Thornton, Mindteck, TreCom Systems, NIC (dba PA Interactive), Ahold USA and The Hershey Company.

As a consultant I have worked with various state agencies including State Tax Equalization Board, Department of Military and Veteran’s Affairs, Department of Education, State Workers' Insurance Fund, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, Pennsylvania State Police, Department of Corrections, Department of Agriculture and others.

I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and received a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland.

I hold several certifications including a PMP, PMI-ACP, CSP-SM, CSP-PO, CSM, CSPO, PSM I, SA(SAFe), LCA, SSGB, ITIL-F, MCSE and MCNE. Like you, I have enrolled in the Project Management Masters Degree Program at Harrisburg University. I started my journey for a Masters Degree during the semester - Summer 2018.

I am an active member of the PMI Keystone PA Chapter and currently volunteering as the Chapter Programs Director. I have presented at branch meetings on the topics of "Did You Choose Project Management or Did it Choose You?" and an User Story Lab. I am an active member of the Central PA Agile User Group. 

I am a father of two children - a 26 yo son living in San Antonio, TX with his fiancé, a 3 yo son (my grandson) and a 3 month old daughter (my granddaughter) and a 21  yo daughter attending college at Wilson College, in Chambersburg, PA. I have lived in York, PA for 20 years.

DATE:  Wednesday, May 22, 2019

TIME:  Networking and dinner begins at 6:00 PM followed by the Featured Speaker starting promptly at 6:30 PM.

LOCATION: Giant/Martins, 1149 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013, Parking lot in rear.

PROTOCOL: Dress code is business or business casual.  

COST: There is no charge for this meeting to Chapter members. A nominal fee of $5 will be charged to non-Chapter registrants and attendees. Chapter members must log-in to the Chapter website in order to receive the discount.
