Carlisle Branch September 2019 Meeting
The PMI Keystone Chapter wants to connect with PMI members, Project Managers and the project management professional community to drive the field of project management forward in the Carlisle area.
We hope you will join us at our regular monthly meetings to learn how you can expand your network and collaborate with us to create and share consumable content, tools and resources.
The feature presentation will be as follows:
Topic : The Value of Project Management
The roles and expectations of project managers vary from organization to organization depending on size, culture, and organizational maturity. Amid this stew of situations, how can project managers address these expectations and create value for the organization? From the project-manager-as-doer, to administrator, to scheduler, to analyst, to vendor manager, to leader, project management veteran Lawrence Knorr addresses these situations and how to make the best of them.
Speaker: Lawrence Knorr, PMP
Lawrence Knorr has played many roles in his 35-year career in IT from computer programmer/analyst, to systems architect, to project manager, PMO Director, and CIO. He led the creation and operation of the IT PMO for Ahold USA, one of the largest retailers in the world. He has also led a number of projects large and small over the years including several successful ERP implementations. Lawrence is a PMP for over 15 years and is a certified scrum master. He has also taught business and project management courses at local colleges.

TIME: Networking and dinner begins at 6:00 PM followed by the Featured Speaker starting promptly at 6:30 PM.
LOCATION: Giant/Martins, 1149 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013, Parking lot in rear.
PROTOCOL: Dress code is business or business casual.
COST: There is no charge for this meeting to Chapter members. A nominal fee of $5 will be charged to non-Chapter registrants and attendees. Chapter members must log-in to the Chapter website in order to receive the discount.
