Carlisle Branch October 2019 Meeting
The PMI Keystone Chapter wants to connect with PMI members, Project Managers and the project management professional community to drive the field of project management forward in the Carlisle area.
We hope you will join us at our regular monthly meetings to learn how you can expand your network and collaborate with us to create and share consumable content, tools and resources.
The feature presentation will be as follows:
Topic : Improving an Office Environment
Gallup research indicates that in the US, $350 billion dollars a year is lost in productivity of workers due to workplace drama. As leaders in the workplace, workplace drama is something we must try to combat. By leveraging the voices of every person in the room we can do that. But how? In this session we will explore the use of Liberating Structures as a way to involve everybody in a room to solve or face tough problems. We will do that by experiencing several structures strung together as the collective intelligence of the room is harnessed to find ways to improve office environments.
Speaker: Todd Miller
Todd is a Professional Scrum Trainer for Scrum.org and VP of the Agile Innovation Practice at Itero Group, LLC. He has practical experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, Developer, and Agile coach on a variety of technical and creative projects across a multitude of industries. He presently coaches and trains enterprises and teams across the United States on the Scrum framework, enterprise Agile transformation, and professional software development. On the technical side, he has development experience mostly in the Microsoft .NET technology stack but considers himself a tinkerer with Java and Python.
DATE: Wednesday, October 23, 2019
TIME: Networking and dinner begins at 6:00 PM followed by the Featured Speaker starting promptly at 6:30 PM.
LOCATION: Giant/Martins, 1149 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013, Parking lot in rear.
PROTOCOL: Dress code is business or business casual.
COST: There is no charge for this meeting to Chapter members. A nominal fee of $5 will be charged to non-Chapter registrants and attendees. Chapter members must log-in to the Chapter website in order to receive the discount.
