York Branch: November 2019 Meeting
Where: Yorkview Hall (5th Floor) of Willman Business Center, York College of Pennsylvania @ 441 Country Club Rd, York PA 17403
Topic: Effective Executive Project Sponsorship
Talent Triangle: 1 PDU - Leadership
Description: Research shows that the leading cause of project failure is inadequate support from senior management. All too often, executives inherit the role of project sponsor without coaching in the scope and critical importance of that responsibility. In this presentation, John will clarify the responsibilities of the project sponsorship, the project manager and the project team. The presentation will explain the executive sponsor's role in project selection, project governance, project planning and preparation, project execution and communication, and project closure. (This presentation is an excerpt from a two-day Executive Certification Class offered by Lehigh University's Executive Education Program.)
