TOPIC: Supply Chain Projects in Latin America: Challenges and Opportunities
PRESENTATION SUMMARY:
Latin America offers a fertile yet challenging environment for the development of supply chain projects, particularly in regions where infrastructure gaps, informality, economic volatility, and logistical fragmentation coexist with a growing demand for efficiency and digital transformation.
This presentation will explore the key challenges and lessons learned from managing supply chain initiatives across the region, with a special focus on Peru. We will address topics such as technological integration, adaptation to complex social contexts, organizational change management, and the critical role of human capital.
Through real-world examples and practical insights, we will present an honest look at how supply chain initiatives are designed, implemented, and scaled in emerging markets—highlighting both structural barriers and opportunities for innovation.
PRESENTER: Aurio de la Cruz, PMP
Aurio is a Project Manager at Vistony | Mining/Oil/Gas and an Industrial Engineer with an MBA and solid experience leading supply chain, logistics, and technology projects across Latin America.
