Carlisle Branch November 2019 Meeting
The PMI Keystone Chapter wants to connect with PMI members, Project Managers and the project management professional community to drive the field of project management forward in the Carlisle area.
We hope you will join us at our regular monthly meetings to learn how you can expand your network and collaborate with us to create and share consumable content, tools and resources.

Topic : Project Velocity – Aiming your life and career - lessons from The Endurance
All aspects of life, whether projects, career, health, relationships or expedition, require careful calibration in Speed and Direction to achieve goals and meet responsibilities. Sir Ernest Shackleton and his team speak to us from the splendors of an Antarctic voyage. One that began with masterful planning and careened into setbacks and terrors to achieve a different kind of victory. Join us and dress warm.
Shackleton’s 1913 recruiting ad; Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success.
Speaker: Mark Rohrbaugh
Mark is a PMI certified Project Manager with experience leading IT projects for retail, corporate and government entities of many sizes, on many platforms. Mark is finding that project planning and executing can be informed by lessons learned, not only from past projects but also from riveting events in history that reveal examples of leadership under stress and strain.

TIME: Networking and dinner begins at 6:00 PM followed by the Featured Speaker starting promptly at 6:30 PM.
LOCATION: Giant/Martins, 1149 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013, Parking lot in rear.
PROTOCOL: Dress code is business or business casual.
COST: There is no charge for this meeting to Chapter members. A nominal fee of $5 will be charged to non-Chapter registrants and attendees. Chapter members must log-in to the Chapter website in order to receive the discount.
